Part-Time/Temporary Position


Advocacy/Public Policy/Legislature/Government Relations/Government Affairs Internship
Council on American-Islamic Relations, Massachusetts
Paid/5-10 Hours per week
May-August 2020 Timeframe
This internship is available in Boston, MA. Must be able to travel to our South Station office and the MA State House.

Assist with planning events such as Legislative Breakfasts
Accompany Govt Affairs Director to meetings at the MA State House
Track bills and legislative sponsors
Help recruit volunteers for advocacy efforts
Prepare materials for legislative meetings and events
Create and share social media postings and email templates
Assist in coalition building with local non-profits

Junior or Senior Undergraduate or Graduate level student
Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks independently
Outgoing personality
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Comfort with making phone calls
Commit 5-10 hours per week
Be able to travel to the CAIR-MA Office at least twice a week

Community Advocacy and Education Undergraduate Internship

Paid Internship Description
Work alongside the Director of Community Advocacy and Education on the annual Muslim Youth Leadership Program
3 days per week of in office work
Strongly prefer an applicant that is:
passionate about civil engagement and community advocacy
program development
youth work

Must be an undergraduate/graduate student
Must be able to travel to our south station office
Dates available: June 2nd-August 22nd
