Internship

Intern with CAIR-MA this summer!

The Massachusetts chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the largest Muslim advocacy and civil rights organization in the United States, is currently accepting applications for internships for the summer of 2018.  These are full-time internships to be completed in our Boston office.

CAIR focuses on issues such as challenging Islamophobia, defending civil rights, media and communications engagement, legislative advocacy, community organizing, interfaith outreach, and youth engagement.  This year we are welcoming applications from undergraduate or graduate students, as well as rising college freshmen, in the following fields:

  • Government Affairs
  • Youth Engagement
  • Islam and the African-American Experience

Interns at CAIR work with leaders on substantive projects that lay the foundation for a fair and more inclusive America; they get hands-on experience in advocacy and proactive media engagement, gain insight into the societal impact of public service, and have the opportunity to work on a variety of issues so that they might holistically understand the daily operations of a non-profit civil rights organization.

Interns can earn community service hours or academic credit through their university, pending institutional approval.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.  Please send a completed resume to CAIR-MA at info@ma.cair.com.  Select candidates will be contacted for an interview.
